Afternoon before we left
At Kens house
Topeka bound

DRAGWEEK 2011       "Been there..gonna do it again"
September 12th through the 16th.
It Was one of the most unbelievable experiences I have had with my car..Ever!
The preparations leading up to this were all but forgotten when we rolled in the gate that
Sunday morning for registration and tech.
I  left home in Cheney Kansas on  Saturday morning the 10th of September with a trailer loaded
with spare parts, A big cooler of refreshments and our luggage.
My brother Ken and I decided a few weeks earlier that we were going to drive the car to
Topeka instead of trailering it. That  turned out to be not such a good decision as the week came
to a close. More about that later. The morning we left  was very nice and cool. I arrived at Kens
house just before daylight, and once our traveling partners, Dan and Big Al arrived we were on
our way. The plan was to was to get up to Topeka and get settled in to the Motel early to do any
last minute adjustments or repairs to the car after the 180 mile  trip up to Topeka. We had no
issues on the way, and used the time for Ken to get used to driving the car, as this was his first
time behind the wheel of the Datsun. We  figured our mileage on our first stop some 60 miles
outside of Wichita. It wasn't good. Just under 6 mpg. At that point we could start to figure our safe
range, and that was going to be somewhere around the 70-75 mile mark. Wow.. We thought.
Thats a lot of stops over a 1300 mile+ trip. As it turned out, thats about all we wanted to be in the
car at one time. It was Hot, Loud, and just not all  too comfortable. We welcomed the break to
stretch out and cool down as the week unfolded.
As we we were nearing Topeka, we figured we should be able make it to the motel with the
fuel that we had in the tank from the last fill up. We had switched over to pump gas on our first
fill  and had 15 gallons of E-85 on board the trailer for back up or to to fill with once we were
getting close to the race track. We were staying at a motel about one mile or so from the race
track so I did not want to fill with pump gas again if we didn't have to. As we turned into the
parking lot of the Motel the fuel pressure went to Zero and the motor went DED dead. We
coasted over to the side..looked at each other and said:  We timed that just right Huh!
As we got out of the car to  cool down and laugh about the luck of the fuel estimation.. In pulls a
beautiful little Green 34 Chevy Coupe. Our first contact of  Drag Week. He came over to us
almost immediately after parking his car to make sure we were Ok. He had just returned from
washing off the grime from the long haul he had just came. His name was Jason and as the
week went on we determined: He is just one heck of a Dude. He had just driven his Hotrod from
Florida. Over 1400 miles to get there. NO trailer. Didn't come
on one, and didn't pull one. He ran
Mid 10's all week and it is Show car nice! UN-Fricken real!  Ken and I looked at each other and
thought Humm.. 180 miles ? Really? And he just came 1400? Kinda busted our bubble. LOL
On Monday morning they were to open the gates at 8. When we arrived at just before 8 the
pits were already quite full. The air was cool and the track was being sprayed with traction
compound. Ahhh.. There is no other smell like that! :) The drivers meeting was to start at 9
sharp and everyone was to have there tow rigs if they came on or in a trailer to the secured lock
up area, where they were going to be all week until we returned on Friday. At the drivers meeting
they covered the rules and gave us a little run down on how the week would go. At one point the
Hot rod editor said: " We are going to take you down some of the worst roads you have ever
seen, to test you..And your car, and we (the hot rod staff) are going to love it" or something to that
affect. We knew from talking to some that had been before that they would not take the most
direct routes from town to town, and they would not hand the routes out until we handed in our
time slip for the day. Along with the route were check points along the way that we would have to
stop at and have a picture of the car in front of them. After the drivers meeting they opened the
staging lanes and we promptly made our way up to get our pass in and get loaded up for our
drive to Greatbend. We were hoping to get to sit and watch a few of the bad boys before we left
the track as well. My only pass of the day was a 9.33 at 147 and change. The front end still did
not lift all that high but It didn't feel too bad knowing that was with the big pulley and the tail pipes
still on the car. The 60 foot was in the mid 130's.  I knew the little pulley would pick the car up
about 5 1/2 to 6 tenths and if we took the tail pipes off I should be in the 8.60 range on Friday
when we returned.
After we were checked in we decided to go find E-85 for our fill up and refill of our Jugs.
There was road construction all over town with lots of traffic. Everything was ok until I had
noticed we were running a little too warm. Many more stop and go's and we were going to
have some issues. I decided to pull off  into a parking lot and have a look. Uh OH..no fan.
The ground wire had got hot and melted. First problem of the trip. Easy repair, Made a new
ground wire and we were on our way. We returned some time later to the Motel after fueling
and dinner to meet more new Dragweek friends. A group from Australia had come over to
follow the event. They were booked in the same motels as we were all week.  We hung out
with them that night in the parking lot , laughing and laughing until we were just beat. Two of
the dudes were just plain nuts. Tim and Craig. They kept our sides hurting  all week. I had
made the mistake early in the week, saying I had a smaller blower pulley for the car, and
that I had planned on installing when and if we got back to Topeka. Well.. Tim got a hold of
that and would not let it go..teasing me most all the week about it. He wanted that pulley on
there now! It was the first time that any of them had been to America and they chose to
follow Drag week. Pretty dang cool if you ask me. After Dragweek was over they were off to
Vegas for more fun before they were to return home. Here are a few pics of Tim and Craig
that I borrowed  from their facebook page. They took some pretty awesome pics as the
week went on and they have given me permission to use a few of them here on my site.
Thanks guys!
Sunday Morning came early. We arrived at the track around 8 or so and there were
already several cars in line, and as we rolled under the tunnel into the pits there were
already a ton of cars in the pits. The tech line was fairly long as well. We only had a few
things to do before we got in the line and it was getting longer by the minute.  Wow! I knew it
was going to be a good turn out, but this was amazing! We spent a little over 3 hours in line
before we made it to the building where they were inspecting the cars. It did not seem that
long at all with all the people to meet and talk to along the way. A couple of Hot rod tech
dudes came back through the line and looked the cars over, handed us a few forms to fill
out and give to the officials once we were in the building, so it made the time in building
minimal. Once in the building they put on our numbers, we handed in our paper work, filled
out some more and they gave out our goody bags. Done deal. That was easy.
My initial plans were not to make any passes on Sunday, but thinking it over once we got
there and the fact that the wheelie bars were new and longer than before, we thought it
might be a good idea to at least make a half track run. Leaving the starting line felt kind of
lazy. The front end did not come up at all. I only ran it to the 1/8 mile and it went a 5.98. When
I returned to the pits Ken and I talked it over and decided to change back to the original front
springs and remove the front end limiters that I had just installed the week before
Dragweek. I had brought it all with me and all  the tools to do it, so when we got back to the
motel that evening we got started. I wished I had stopped to take a few pics of every thing
scattered across the parking stall, but I didn't think about it.

Here's a  video I shot of Larry Larson from the stands before we
left the track that day. Larry
IS the man!
By the time we fueled up and got a bite to eat we were 3 o'clock rolling out of Topeka. The
temperature was nearing the 100 degree mark and we were feeling it. Our on board Radiator
mister system ( OBRMS for short )
LOL was pretty much on full time. With the nozzles flowing
about 5 gallons per hour we figured were going to have to fill the water tank more often than
the fuel tank at this rate it looked like. Our first fuel stop was some 60-70 miles outside
Topeka. As we rolled in I can tell ya, We were way ready for the break. A lot of others used the
same spot to fill up and cool down. It was wild, All these cool hot rods rolling in and out and
we were right in the middle of it! I thought..How cool is this!!  As we finished up and got ready
to leave our first  vapor lock problem hits us. I go to start the car and there is no fuel pressure.
This had happened to me a year or so ago on a trip in this kind of  heat, but i had changed
pumps and thought I had that problem solved. We ended up pushing the car and trailer away
from the gas pumps to let it cool down and get out of the way of others wanting fuel.
About a half hour later or so we were back on the road. Still a few hours away from getting
any relief from the heat we knew our fuel issues would return. We had packed the area
around the gas tank with Ice bags hoping that would get us till the sun went down and the
road heat fell off some.
These pictures were taken by the 1320video dudes
while we were waiting for the fuel system to cool
down. Check out their website..
1320video.com they
have a ton of pics and videos of the whole event
I'm not real sure how long we went, but our next unplanned stop was some where out in the
middle of  no where when the fuel pressure went away. As luck would have it we coasted into
small drive entrance to a cow pasture. And once again along came the
1320 guys to lend
some moral support and take a few more pictures. They even unloaded Big Al's bike from his
trailer and had a wheelie popping event while we cooled back down. Dan and Al also had an
issue here in the pasture. Their starter had broken and ear off and the other bolt was just
gone. So on the jack  the mustang went to try to get at least one bolt to hold until we got into
Greatbend. That gave us quite a bit of cool down time and the evening was falling upon us by
then. Finally getting a touch cooler.
Come to find out we were not too far outside the town of our second check point in Abilene
Kansas. Buy then it was starting to get dark. It had cooled down a lot and  we had no more fuel
issues the rest of the night. We still had a lot of miles to cover and it was looking like it was
going to be a late night. We knew we had to stop every hour or so to fuel up and stretch so
baring any problems we were still not gonna arrive any too early. Our next  and last check point
of this leg was in Mcpherson Kansas. Only about 30 miles or so away. When we rolled into
town I could hear something squeaking. I figured the belt drive fuel pump had shot craps. I
jacked the car up to find the pulley on the drive to the pump had moved forward and was
rubbing on the radiator fan shroud. I removed the belt from the pump and it felt pretty bad as
well. So all we had then was the electric pump in the back to get us the rest of the way. All I
could think of was the label thats on the pump.  "Not for continuous use". Oh well...not much we
could do now. Lets roll. At this point I think we were estimating a midnight arrival to the motel in
Greatbend, and that's just about what it was within a couple minutes or so. WOW..we thought.
That was the short one too!
As we rolled around the corner of the motel parking lot, There's our Buddies Craig and Tim to
congratulate us for making it. All in all...a great day!
Round one's behind us.. Ken says.
Tuesday Morning we went looking for E-85. We were told that there were a couple of places
that had it but we could not find a one. We had enough in the trailer for the day so we gave up
looking and headed for the track. It was really cool out. A lot different from the day before and
they were expecting it to be cooler in the afternoon as well. When we arrived at the track there
was a line and we had to wait a little while to get in the pits. Starting and shutting off the car a
few times in the cool air created the conditions I had hoped I would not have to experience. On
one start up it sneezed pretty good and blew out the gasket between the Hat injector and
blower. That left it sucking in more air than it should and the idle was around 1700 or so. I had
gasket material with me just in case, so thats what I spent the first hour in the pits doing while
Ken changed the tires and removed the tail pipes.
The days only pass for me was not good. At about half track I noticed that my Air fuel ratios
were going too lean. I lifted on the gas and coasted to the end. My time for that run was way
slow.
On the way up the return road I felt like there was something wrong. It was not accelerating as
smooth as I thought it should. When I got back to the pits we checked everything we could, but
found nothing wrong. I installed a new set of plugs and we buttoned it up so we could get the
on the road to Amarillo. We new this next leg was going to be a long one. Close to 330 miles. I
think we rolled out of Greatbend about 1:30 after running back into town to fill up. Ken was
driving so I was taking pictures and playing on facebook. LOL
Our first check point of the day was 53 miles away in Offerle Kansas. We were worried about the
fuel heating problem returning so we packed up with ice on the tank before we left town. The
temps were not as warm as the day before but the road surface with the sun beating down on it
was still plenty toasty. The for cast was rain for Texas that evening which would cool things down
but make it hard to drive in. As it turned out we only got a sprinkle or two all night.
Back on the road and headed for Dorthy's house. Now armed with a garden sprayer filled
with ice water we settle in for the long haul. When we roll into Liberal it was still early
evening. There were several waiting to take their pics with the sign. I sprayed a little cool
down juice while Ken took the pictures and we got rolling again.
Just as we were getting ready to roll out we meet our next new Drag week friend. "Blake" or
"
Gunnie" as he likes to be referred to. And his little dog Spike. He had just had some electrical
issues a few miles back and got those repaired, and was looking for some one to run with.
He was from the Amarillo Area, so we were headed to one of his home tracks. And he was
another one that still had a pretty long way to drive to get there, and then get back home after
the event was over.  Oh.. and Spike made all the passes with him too. :) He has a dragracing
school There close to the Amarillo area. Check him out at
www.brokendragster.com
It was around  2ish when we left the track for our first leg of this week long road trip.
Great Bend Kansas was the next destination. Just some 240 miles away. Our very first
check point was still in Topeka on the way out of town. The Big Chief Drive in Theater sign
in a Walmart parking lot.
These two pics were taken by our buddies Tim
and Craig as they were happening by. We had
rolled into a little town somewhere between
Offerle and Liberal Kansas.
As we were on our way out of town I told Ken: At the next big town I think I want to buy a garden
sprayer. Fill it with water. Then every time we stop for fuel I will spray down the pump and fuel
lines. I no sooner got that out of my mouth and the fuel pressure went to Zero and it died. Once
again we coasted. This time into a small dirt parking lot across from the town elevator. What
the..?
As we were all standing there laughing about the timing of it all, Dan the man looks across the
street and sees a coop next to the elevator. He runs over there and they just happened to have
a garden sprayer. Shortly there after he comes back with one full of water. We add a little ice
and I start our New "
Fuel system cool down process". The sprayer came in handy for
driver-passenger cool downs from time to time as well. Soon we were on the road again
headed for the next check point. The  "Land of OZ" sign right off of Hi-way 54 in Liberal Kansas.
Offerle Taco Building Mural
Our next check point, and the last one of the day. Or night as it turned out, was a pretty long haul.
About 140 miles away. Through the Oklahoma panhandle to a town called Panhandle Texas. At
Carol's drive in. There was a big cow with a sign on it's side. Gunnie new the place and told us they
have some killer burgers if we want to wait and eat there. Yum! It was getting pretty late by the time we
rolled in but there were still several locals hanging out watching the parade of Hot Rods along with
one of the towns police officers. Gunnie new most of them, and unfortunately the burger joint had
closed some time back, so we didn't get our burger.
Once we left Carol's we were only 40 miles or so from the motel in Amarillo. I am not sure if this is
where Ken had made this statement or if was the next night but, He said
"I don't think you can check in to these motels before midnight..I don't think they'll  let ya"
And of course he followed that up with: "well bubba..we made it past round two"
As we came dragging into the motel parking lot who do we see? Yep..Tim and Craig. Ken and I had
made an agreement back in what ever town that was back there..when he had packed our little
cooler with 6 ice cold beers that upon arrival we were going to make these disappear before we
went to bed. So we stood and B.S.ed with Craig, Tim and Mr Larson till 2:30 in the morning. That
was a blast. Larry had just came from changing his oil and tranny fluid in a shop that he described
as unbelievable. We laughed and carried on and wasn't really concerned about the time.
After getting the car ready to make a pass Ken and I were talking about what our plan was to be.
Make a full pass or just take it easy and not take a chance. Through the staging lanes I was going
back and forth with that Dilemma until about three cars back from the water box. The track dude
came up to Ken and told him to tell me to be careful. Some of the cars are getting loose just after
the 1/8 mile mark. There was my decision. I ran to half track and cruised the rest of the way. As I got
down to the end there it was, that fricken road we were on last night. Just before I started my
burnout the 1320 video guy motioned towards the car to install a camera on the hood. I nodded to
him and for the second time in a row I had a camera on the car and did not make a full pass. They
didn't come to me again with the camera. LOL
Our next leg of the trip was the longest one yet, and we wanted to get rolling as soon as we
could. Our sheet said four hundred and some miles to Tulsa and we had 3 check points to stop
at along with several  fuel stops. We left the track just before noon and just a mile or so up the
road Ken told me that the throttle was hosed up again. We had some problems with it back in
Greatbend, and I had made a make-shift extension to the arm on the hat injector to make it a little
easier push without giving it a whole lot of throttle. This time he could not even hardly push it. We
limped into a self serve fuel station right off the hi-way and after checking it out I decided we had
better put my extra cable in.  It felt pretty bad. I had discovered before we came on this trip that the
cable that had been in there since 1990 was getting a little stiff so I ordered 2. One I put in then
and the other we brought as a spare. I am not sure what the heck happened but the new one
lasted about a week or so. When we got it out of the car, you could not work it by hand at all. About
an hour and a half later we were back on the road. It was a beautiful day. Sunny and cooler. Our
water misters were not even coming on hardly at all. Our first Check point was in Shamrock Texas
at the old Conoco building. Right at 100 miles away. Ken was driving again and we were having
no other issues so I got on the laptop and started cleaning up the cruising part of the tune up.
Each time we rolled into a town I would try to make some adjustments on the fly as he was
starting, stopping, and accelerating through the towns. I was able to raise the fuel mileage up
from around 6-7 to a little over 8. I wished I would have had the time before then to do that. Ken
said it was like a whole different car to drive. Time well spent. Our second check point was the
Route 66 Museum in Elk City Oklahoma. About 64 miles from our last one. When we rolled in
there we took a few pictures had a nice cool down and Gunnie went across the street to get Spike
some hot dogs. Spike was a happy camper. Back on the road headed to our last check point  of
the day. 160 some miles away at Jalopy's drive-in In Perkins Oklahoma. It was dark by the time
we arrived and I really don't remember much about this check point. I think by then we were gett'n
tired and we didn't stay long. Took the picture and got the heck out. We knew at that point we were
not too far from our motel bed, but once again it was a Midnight check-in. This may have been the
longest trip but It was really the most pleasant.
Round Three..done..
Thursday Morning in Tulsa was over cast with moisture in the air. Once again we needed to find
E-85 for the day. We only had 5 gallons in the trailer and the cars tank was on the low side. We
went a few places to try and find it with no luck again. I wanted to change the oil and filter and
transmission fluid when we got to the track so we stopped to pick up all the stuff to do that and
started out to the track. About a mile from the track I turned a corner and there went the fuel
pressure again. No way! It can't be vapor locking in this cool air!  Nope..just out of gas. Again! LOL.
In went the last five of E-85 and we hoped that when we got to the track Big Al would have some
extra. And he did. When we went to start back up the silly starter acted kinda funny but went ahead
and started. At the track we started in changing oil, trans fluid, tires and ended up having to put a
starter on it also before we were able to make it to the staging lanes. All the while it had sprinkled
and lightly rained a few times. We sat in the staging lanes for some time until it finally cleared off
enough to run again. My first attempt was a complete failure. I am not sure what happened but I
could not keep the car running after the burn out. It died trying to stage it and I over staged the car.
They motioned me on so that run was terrible as I had already started the clocks. That forced me to
make another try. They were about to close the staging lanes so I loaded a different tune file and
went back up. I was so flustered I didn't even set my computer to log the run. Didn't look down at the
gauges..nothing. I went a 9.38 but the MPH was down a couple from Topeka on Monday. The car
felt like it left OK but looking at a couple of  pictures later I realized why the front end was staying so
tame all week. The wheelie bars were marking the pavement with the front wheels barely in the air.
After leaving the track are plan was to fill up with gas, get a bite to eat and head out to Topeka for
the last part of the road trip. This is where our trip took a turn for the worse. We leave the gas
station headed to go eat and Ken accelerates away from a stop light and just before it goes to
high gear I hear it. He changes gears and the rpm starts to climb and I hear it again.
Click it Kenny
I said.
It's coming apart. He looks at me some what stunned I think, and says: Huh? As he's
reaching for the key to shut if off. We coast  a ways and he rounds the corner into a residential
neighbor hood. A very nice neighbor hood I might add. I said, I think we spun a bearing. I get out of
the car. My mind is just racing. Really.. Did that just FUCKING happen? I pop the hood. Look at it a
few moments and said: Start it up again. He does. In only a few seconds it's rattling. I don't have to
say a word. He clicks it off again. We have some moments there where nothing is said. I make the
phone call I had hoped not to have to make. Deb..ya need to come get us. I knew she was some
3-4 hours away.. My mind was not really OK yet with all of this, and I had to know if we were really
done. I looked at Ken and shared what I was thinking. I want to jack this thing up and pull the pan.
Maybe we can roll a bearing in it and still at least make it to Topeka. Not make a hard pass, but
just stage the thing and roll away from the starting line. They said thats all we had to do. Then we
can say we made it. He looks around at the area we were in and says: Brad..we can't do that right
here. Look at this neighbor hood. They would call the cops in no time. About then Big Al and
Danniel come back to see if we were OK. I look across the street and there is a big church parking
lot. I say: OK.. Lets push this deal across there and I will take it apart. We got  over 3 hours to wait
until Deb gets here. If I can't fix it then.. I'm done. But I got to know. He looks at me. Gives me a hug
and says: OK.. I'm in. After Dan and Al help us with getting it across 5 O'clock traffic to the church
we send them reluctantly on their way. I get started jacking the car up and putting it on jack stands.
Now comes the rain. We had tarps in the trailer that we rigged up over the engine compartment
and out aways to keep the rain off of us while we were under the car. It was starting to cool off
rapidly and the sun was starting to go down as well. A local dude that just happened to be out at
the track was driving by and seen us in the parking lot and could see we were having issues. He
stopped to see if he could help. I told them that we could not have any outside help except to give
one of us a ride if we needed parts. He said no prob. Where you need to go and what do ya need?
I had thought that I had .010 undersized bearings in the engine but I was not yet at the point to
verify that. He made some phone calls and found some across town. Ken loaded up with him and
they went to get them while I continued to disassemble the bottom end. By the time they returned I
had found the rod that had the bad bearing and had it out. With emery cloth I tried the best I could
to smooth out the crank shaft surface, cleaned it as well as I could and installed the new bearing.
The only thing I forgot to tell ken to get was an oil filter. It just so happened that a little later when I
was about done, another dude was passing by and stopped to check on us. I told him the same
thing and he was willing to give me a ride to Walmart to get one. I was just letting the car down off
the Jack stands when Deb rolled into the parking lot with the car trailer. Ken was packing the little
trailer back up and we hooked it to the car. Ken asks me: Ya want to fire it first before we go? I said
no. Lets just get in and roll. We had unhooked the spark plug wire to that cylinder in hopes it would
take the pressure off the bearing.
I had cancelled our Motel in Topeka and we had found out there was one just a few miles down
the road in Tulsa. The plan then was to stay in Tulsa for the night. Then leave early in the morning
and try to make it to Topeka. Deb was going to hang out in Tulsa for the morning and come on to
Topeka later in the day. We were not to have to be at the track until 3pm that day. So we had extra
time. Here are some shots I took in the Church parking lot.
Early the next morning we had a nice breakfast with my sweetheart in the motel. And then we
got going. We were some 250 miles from Heartland park Topeka. Close to 30 miles to the one
and only check point of the day in Oolagah Oklahoma. I was driving and every thing seemed OK
with the exception it was an uncomfortable feeling with the engine missing out from the spark
plug wire not being there. When we came into Oolagah and slowed down I could hear it starting
to rattle a little. Not like the day before but it was there. We could see the check point just ahead
and it had a nice big paved circle drive in front of it. I looked at Ken and said: Man.. I think were
done. We still had some 200 miles to go and I did not want to hurt it any more than it was.The
GPS had 1274 miles logged from when I left my house in Cheney six days ealier. The Drag week
trip alone was right at 1200. If we had only trailered it to Topeka.
Once again I had to make that phone call. Deb showed up a little later and we loaded the car.
Hooked the little trailer to the back of the car trailer and on we went to Topeka. Not as we hoped
but Hey..Thats how it goes sometimes.
On arrival in Topeka the weather was bleak at best. It was starting to mist on us as we were
turning into the track entrance. They were able to run a few cars down the track, but ultimately
they had to call the race that day. We stayed and watched until it got a little too cold and wet. We
laughed some more with Tim and Craig.  Said good by to some of our other newly made friends
that week, and Headed it for home. Mr Dan the Man won  his class in Big Al's Mustang. Great Job
guys, and my friend Larry Larson won for the forth straight year in Unlimited. All in All it was the
most unreal, amazingly fun, and emotional week I have ever had. I can't wait until next year..

About a week after Drag Week Ken found himself a candidate for next year. He had been looking
for a while, and the Drag week experience just boosted his motivation. As luck would have it he
found this car in Omaha. We were scheduled to be up in KC the next weekend with our
sweethearts, so he arranged to run on up to Nebraska and pick the car up if it turned out to be
as nice as the pictures showed. It was, so we did. Here are a few pictures and a video of him
loading the car.  The video was shot in KC when we got back to the motel. When he is ready  for
next year's event he will have his 522, a power glide with a Gear Vender in the car.

Here's a clip of Jason and a few others leaving the motel that morning on the way to the track.
Wednesday Morning. WOW. Is it 6:15 in the morning already? That there might have been a bad
decision. But is sure was a good time!  Well.. We are at the halfway point. I think the GPS was
reading somewhere around 8-900 miles since I left my house, what seemed like weeks ago. After
all we had been hearing about Amarillo's track I was a little nervous. Not only for my self, but for the
bad fast boys with the big mile per hours. We had just came down some roads the night before that
should have been condemned for Motor vehicle use. I don't know what the Hot rod people were
thinking..Oh yeah...They were gonna love it! LOL The word was that the shut down area at the track
was about like those roads. NICE!
